Happy 18th Birthday, Micah!

 18 years.
We have been blessed to call you our son every day you have been alive, Micah Steven.

You are a thoughtful
and intelligent young man.

You make others feel valued and welcome.
You think deeply and love with loyalty.
You are an excellent friend and a kind brother.
You are willing to serve even when you don't feel like serving.
You willingly observe the moods and emotions of others and are quick to offer a hug or word of encouragement when needed.
You are faithful to those you love and quick to support and defend when they are attacked.

Micah Steven Eastman - you are an amazing young man with many gifts and many strengths.
I know you do not always see them, or think they matter, but they do.
Regardless of what you accomplish or how successful you are in the eyes of man, you were lovingly and purposefully created in the image of the God of the universe.
And that, my dear firstborn son - is ENOUGH.
You were fearfully and wonderfully made.
God called you to Himself - and you responded, "Yes, Lord!"

And now, you have the rest of your life to follow where He leads, trust Him in all things, cry out to Him when you feel weak and alone, lean on Him when your own strength is gone, and rejoice every day because He has a purpose for YOU in each one He has made.

I love you, son.
I fell in love with you the moment I knew you existed, and I fell in love with you all over again the moments I saw your face and held your tiny body.
You are my son. My firstborn. And I adore you.

Happy Birthday, Micah.
I love you.♥
