When there are no words, and we cannot even pray, Scripture is all we need.
Hear my cry, O God,
listen to my prayer;
from the end of the earth I call to You
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
for You have been my refuge ... Psalm 61:1, 2
Cast your burden on the Lord,
and He will sustain you;
He will never permit
the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.
For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble;
He will conceal me under the cover of His tent;
He will lift me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4, 5
Remember Your word to Your servant,
in which You have made me hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction,
that Your promise gives me life. Psalm 119:49, 50
You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
You will increase my greatness and comfort me again. Psalm 71:20, 21
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25, 26
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34: 17, 18
