All of our help comes from HIM.

I love that the Lord never asks us to do anything alone.
He may remove people from our lives for a time, but He never removes Himself.
He is faithful.
Unchanging.
Compassionate.
Merciful.
Forgiving.

I need a God who exhibits these character traits, because I am often in need of such understanding and grace.
I am often in need, of HIM.

I do not possess adequate wisdom or strength to know the needs or inner workings of the hearts of those around me. My husband, children, family, friends ... each with their own hurts, fears, trials, and struggles. It is impossible to meet each need day by day, hour by hour -
but it is not impossible for the Lord.
My ability to serve, encourage, and love them comes directly from Him!

I do not even possess adequate wisdom to know the needs or workings of my own heart on a consistent basis. But the Lord DOES!
The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
“I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:9,10

It is so easy to excuse sin.
To downplay it.
Call it anything other than it is.

I cannot be trusted to know and understand the hearts of others,
and I cannot be trusted to know and understand my own.

Praise God for the truth that He never leaves us or forsakes us!
We do not walk through life alone - even when it feels as if we do.
He is there.
Gentle.
Patient.
Genuine.
Sincere.
Loving.

All of our help can be found in one place.
Sufficient, perfect help.
We need not look elsewhere.

I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1,2
